UBC Face Drama Club, established in 2013, is UBC’s only Mandarin-Chinese drama club. We are dedicated to the appreciation, performance, and promotion of Chinese theatre. Our regular activities include script read-throughs, drama analysis sessions led by Chinese drama instructors, and different workshops on various theatre aspects. We also stage our annual theatre production every March, aiming to bring high-quality Chinese theatre to the UBC community.
To date, UBC Face Drama Club has produced and performed a range of well-known plays, including the classic play ‘Thunderstorm’, the bittersweet ‘The Pillowman’, the dark comedy ‘The Body at the Window’, and ‘Mr. Donkey’, adapted from a popular stage play by Mahua FunAge.
沸思剧社成立于2013年，是UBC唯一的中文话剧社，致力于中文戏剧的欣赏、演出和推广。我们的日常活动包括剧本围读、中戏老师指导的戏剧赏析，以及有关戏剧不同范畴的工作坊等。另外，我们每年三月左右都会带来一场话剧公演，也是我们的年度大戏，致力于为UBC社区呈现优质的中文戏剧演出。
至今为止，沸思剧社已制作并上演了多部知名剧目，包括经典伦理剧《雷雨》、温情与残酷并存的《枕头人》、黑色喜剧《窗户上的尸体》以及改编自开心麻花作品的《驴得水》。
