J-PARCは、最先端技術を有する研究機関や企業が集まる茨城県の北部、東海村に、65万平方メートルもの広大な敷地を構えています。
リニアック・RCS・MRの3つの加速器から成る加速器施設と、物質・生命科学実験施設、ニュートリノ実験施設、ハドロン実験施設の3つの実験施設、及び施設概念を検討中の核変換技術に関する研究開発に、国内だけでなく海外からも多くの研究者を迎えています。
J-PARCでは、共同研究者とともに、基礎科学から産業応用まで多様な研究・開発を推進しています。
J-PARC, occupying a vast area of 560,000 square meters, is located in the northern part of Ibaraki Prefecture, where laboratories and companies with advanced technology are gathered. J-PARC attracts a lot of scientists not only from Japan but also from around the world because it has three cutting-edge experimental facilities (Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility, Neutrino Experimental Facility, and Hadron Experimental Facility) driven by the three-accelerator complex (Linac, RCS, and MR) and the plan for the R&D facility for nuclear transmutation technology research. At the J-PARC, a variety of research and development activities are being conducted with collaborators ranging from basic science to industrial applications.
