What is TAKARABUNE?
阿波踊りを主軸に、新たな日本芸能の可能性に挑む、“NEO阿波踊り集団”。
1995年、阿波踊りの本場・徳島県出身の連長が主宰となり、東京都で発足。2012年に法人化し、日本唯一のプロ阿波踊りグループとして活動を開始。これまでに、世界20ヶ国以上に活動を展開。現在は、世界最大級のフェスティバルへ招致を受けるなど、全世界から数多くのオファーが後を絶たず、毎年10カ国以上の海外公演と国内公演の両立を果たしている。
TAKARABUNE is a “NEO Awa Odori group” dedicated to exploring new possibilities in Japanese performing arts, with Awa Odori at its core.
Founded in Tokyo in 1995 by a leader from Tokushima Prefecture—the birthplace of Awa Odori—TAKARABUNE was incorporated in 2012 as Japan's only professional Awa Odori group. The group has performed in more than 20 countries around the world. Currently, they receive numerous invitations from all over the world, including to perform at some of the world's largest festivals. They perform in more than 10 countries every year.
