Big Wave Grand Prix (BWGP) is a brand-new format developed by big wave surfers. It’s open — no invitations, no restrictions — for surfers and crews ready to handle Nazaré at its biggest, with their own support.
From November to February, multiple XXL swells shape the season. Surfers, foilers, jet ski drivers, rescue teams, spotters, photographers, videographers, drone pilots, and support crews all play their part.
XXL swells are streamed live from Nazaré on this channel. BWGP gives recognition to surfers, crews, and creators for their work across the whole season — not just a single wave.
We don’t create drama or fake excitement. We keep it real when the swell is on.
